Esure Car Insurance

Reviews of Esure Car Insurance:

"The Esure staff on the end of phones are very personnal. However as soon as they put the phone down, i am afraid thats were it ends. I damaged my car on the 22nd Oct. 2008. It took Esure more than 3 weeks to decide if my car should be written off after me constantly reminding them. In the mean time, i was entitled to a courtesy car but was not given one. This may have been due to the garage who was contracted by esure to repair the car not being given any repair business due to the possiblity of my car being written off. Thus the repair garage did not give out a courtesy car. In the mean time i had to pay out of my own pocket for a hire car. I was advised to send a letter of complaint , advised by esure staff that they could not understand why i had not recieved a hire car. Subsequently letter and invoices for a hire car were sent to Esure and still nearly 3 months later i have not recieved a notification that they recieved this letter and even after phoning them constatntly know one returns my call even when they promise they will. People you talk to cannot seem to make decisions or cannot follow up on your behalf."

"I needed information regarding my car which was written off, I needed these details for the DVLA. Rang eSure Insurance at 5pm, rang and rang, hung up after 40 minutes as it was costing me 4p per minute. Rang at 7pm, waited and waited till 7:56pm, finally got through only to be told there was no one to take my call as the centre only had 4 minutes to shut! Good, but should be a LOT easier to contact them by phone!"

"Great and very friendly customer service from Esure car insurance. Very efficient in faxing and sending insurance certificate for both national and european driving. EASILY the cheapest quote and the underwriter was willing to overlook the fact that 2 of my no claims years were in the Cayman Islands."

"I used Esure Car Insurance and found that I didn't like them. Its only my opinion, but now I with Directline and much happier."

"I took out ESure car insurance with 6yrs NCD, which I decided not to protect (as there is no point - insurance companies see you have made a recent claim, and weight your policy accordingly, regardless). Unfortunately, someone broke into my car, damaging the bodywork in the process. It was a 1 year old Mercedes CLK 320 CDI. The recovery of my car to a secure location overnight happened smoothly enough."

"ESure Car Insurance will appear to be cheapest when obtaining quotes, but JUST WAIT till renewal time and then you'll be paying more than anyone else for no good reason. They just like to get you as a customer and hope you don't bother getting quotes again the following year. Unfortunately for them, I did. Renewal sent this year by ESure was for £284, yet when I submitted a fake quote (matching details of sex, age, next door neighbour's address, exact same car etc)"

"I took out a car insurance policy with Esure. I thought it was good, as I could do it online and for a good price. I was happy until we had an accident which wasn't our fault and tried to make a claim. It started off OK. Esure seemed fairly helpful, and they recommended using their own garage as it would be quicker then using a garage we knew. So we went ahead. After a few days we did get a hire car, as I paid extra on my insurance"
